Who is a DVD nut... raise you hand.
It's been almost 4 years since I bought a DVD player and I'm about 3 shy of 400 DVDs... I must be a complete nerd or a complete moron... ;D

Well I love DVD's too but I only have about 100. I am pretty damn poor though being a student. Maybe one day I may have 400, but not for a long long time......

I dont even own a dvd player yet:( but i might get one for xmas! ;D Ill uncensor damn Hey Ward, instead of getting a DVD player, get an XboX or a PS2, they're equiped with a DVD player with a purchase of a remote control unit. You can kill two birds with one stone. This way, when the Tremors game (crossing fingers) comes out on either XboX or PS2 or both, you then can play the game, and when you get bored of that, you can watch the movies... I just picked up an XboX and right now I'm trying to figure out how to make my DVD player a multi-region player... I can't find any good leads on the net. However, it seems that PS2 has a lot of programs that'll convert it to a multi-region. I think it's only a matter of time before someone cracks the code to the XboX. (crossing fingers again) --Akira

I also have a bunch of VCDs... I buy'em mostly from Chinese VCD/DVD stores. I like them but, the picture quality and sound isn't nearly close to DVD quality. But you get what you pay for. They are, IMO, VHS quality. They run about $5.50 to $12.50 (Canadian dollars) and are worth every penny.
I also converted my PC into multi region with a little program called "ANYDVD" it's small enough to send through Email... If anyone wants it, just give me a shout. Don't worry, I have Norton Antivirus so there aren't any viruses in the program...I did a full scan.

There are times when a VCD is all there is, so that's when I purchase it, It's not because I want to, sometimes I have no choice. I'd gladly choose DVD over VCD any day, however, it's kind of limiting here in Canada. ;D

I have hundreds of DVDs I haven't counted recently, must be near 400
I could do with that anydvd thing, I've got regionfreedvd, but that doesn't always do the job, I just wish my DVD-ROM was hardwared regionfree, like my Settop player.
VCDs are no where, no where near the quality of DVD, I think in alot of cases they are sub VHS quality (good quality VHS that is)
