You'd think the shriekers of the prehistoric would eat all the food around, starve or turn cannibal. Or die of a bursted belly. Guess we know what happened to the dinosaurs.

I though they might turning on each other if food is scarce, but after watching t2, after they're "birthed", they left the carcass of the Graboid behind. That lead me to believe they are not canibals... Perhaps the Graboid was long dead before the shriekers were born so it didn't give off any heat. I dunno... just a theory...

no, i think the graboid was not long dead before shriekers came out as it would not take long time between Earl and Grady to hear last sound of dying graboid and coming to see what happened.

well i think they r cannibals, the shreakers came out of the graboid, and at birth must of been hungry so they ripped it appart and ate as much of it as they wanted, full stop!

Well, according to SS Wilson, Shriekers, can, but usually don't, eat each other. As in only if there's absolutely nothign else around.

true, and another thing shriekers reproduce by eating enough. so for every graboid there r 6 shrikers (going on to there being 3 to start with) but they said there r only 3 per graboid in T2 so they made a mistake in T2 with the shriekers

Actually, according to the Tremors FAQ, 3 was right, but they forgot and never bothered to check for T3. So they claim T3 had mroe evolved Graboids, that produce more Shriekers.

i don't think they were mor evolved just the shriekers have to eat their way out of the graboid and it starts out as three then when they finaly get out they cough up three more
